Last weekend was our An Grianán weekend and I did Jenny Rolfe's workshop on seedheads. This is the one I did first to her technique. Used hand dyes that I had bought 2 years ago in Alsace. Little peices of fabric were bonded to pemet vylene and then free motion stitched. pieces if netting and sheers placed over that and stited again. Finally, the seed heads were sewn.
I went on to do a landscape and didn't really think or intend it to be the Murrough...but it is!
Added in some of my own ideas as well on this one...quite pleased with it.

An Grianán 2012
Susan Briscoe was one of the teachers at the Irish Patchwork Society's weekend in An Grianán this year and has posted some great stuff about us including some photos of my bits.
Restarting the Engine
After 5 years of not writing the blog...I've decided to have another go! I enjoy other blogs...mainly patchwork and quilting ones so why not get this going again.
